Sometimes I find myself longing for my childhood, but I wouldn’t want to change anything about it. I wonder if I was more cognizant back then, would I have enjoyed it more? But I guess that’s the beauty of being a child - being completely unaware of the complexities of life and simply just enjoying the present moment. While I can’t go back in time, I can remember who I was and cognitively choose to be that version of myself. We could all benefit from a little less thinking and a little more enjoying life as it is right now.
