If this isn’t what your relationship with your Mama looks like right now that’s OKAY!! It took us YEARS to get to this point and we are still learning how to love each other every single day. It took me realizing that, like so many other immigrant parents, my mom has gone through SO MUCH in her life and wasn’t taught to love in the way I wanted. I had to meet her where she was at time and time again. It must’ve been so confusing raising American children in a country so far from her home. So if you don’t see eye to eye now, please don’t lose hope. There is always tomorrow.
